The Soda Kid and Social Enterprise

The Soda Kid and Social Enterprise

In this episode I had the unique pleasure of chatting with Atley Ma, also known as the “Soda Kid”.

At the age of nine Atley started Soda Kid Inc, a soda-making machine canister exchange business. Two years later has evolved his business into a social enterprise. His charity of choice is the local food bank donating $500 in his first year of business. Last year Atley more than doubled his contribution to $1150 with a 2020 goal of $2000.

Already expanding into another city, Atley is considering partnering with another young entrepreneur in other areas or maybe a franchise?

Atley uses his net profits to reinvest in his business, restocking his CO2 refill canisters and with the surplus has not only purchased things he wants, but invests in stocks such as Amazon and Tesla.

In an effort to support Atley’s 2020 fundraising goal, together we are adding to his business contribution by donating an additional $1 each for every comment OR rating listeners leave on whatever platform you listen to this podcast until the end of April. Alternatively you can email Atley at sodakidinc@gmail.com and mention this podcast.
